Diya

Diya is currently studying towards a bachelors degree in Science majoring in Biomedical Science. She loves complex challenges such as Rubik’s cubes and is very involved in her sport Taekwondo. Her passion is in the sciences and she would like to promote others to find that same passion for learning about the world around us. She is able to tutor Biology and Chemistry up to level 3 and Physics and Math up to level 2.

Diya likes looking at the subjects as a whole and then breaking it down into smaller sections so that rather than memorising you can see how things are interconnected. She believes in using a variety of methods such as diagrams, flash cards, quizzes and repetition to learn. Building up solid foundations in learning is the key to understanding deeper concepts. The teaching style can be targeted towards what the student prefers to use rather than forcing them to learn only one way of getting an answer.

One-on-one tutoring helps Diya to understand the students methods of learning and use it to further develop them. The concepts being taught can be put into a broader context of what the student is involved in such as sport, music, theatre and is personalised to help them grow not just their learning but be aware of their mindset and self management.
