Aila

Aila is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the University of Auckland. Growing up Aila established a strong passion for all things science, driving her to follow a research pathway specializing in Cellular and Molecular Biomedicine. She aims to spark this same curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, striving to give students the tools to shape their future through the power of education. Aila understands the importance of educational support as she too faced many discouraging challenges throughout high school.

These challenges drive her ambition to best support and empower students. Completing high school through the NCEA system, she can confidently tutor Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English, and Statistics. Aila has a strong knowledge of the NCEA curriculum, recognizing key concepts within assessments to better teach, support and encourage students. In her own time, Aila loves to read, hike, and volunteer within the Middlemore Foundation. She is passionate about building strong relationships within the community, advocating for equity.
