Victoria

Victoria is currently studying a Bachelor of Science (BSC) at the Victoria University of Wellington majoring in Chemistry and Statistics. With this degree, she hopes she can pursue a career in scientific research or teaching. Victoria is able to in tutor Chemistry, Statistics, Biology and Physics. She believes that any student can do well in their studies and reach their goals, if they set their mind and work for it. This includes having proper studying techniques, and self-management skills, which will be part of her teaching.

Victoria’s teaching style emphasizes the key fundamentals of each subject, and she identifies gaps in a student’s knowledge. She implements evidence-based techniques such as active recall, in the form of flashcards, mindmaps and blurting so her students are able to study independently and reinforce their own learning outside tutoring.

She works with the student so they will find interest in the subjects they are studying and also allowing them to become a life-long learner. In her spare time, Victoria enjoys playing many sports socially like badminton and she also plays competitive golf and taekwondo in her spare time. She has a warm personality, and you will find her a great communicator, tutor, and role model.
