Lark

Lark is a Victoria University student working on her honors degree in applied mathematics. She is an experienced tutor who has worked with students of a wide range of ages and subjects but with a focus on calculus and chemistry at NCEA level. In general, her lessons comprise of choosing an objective for the lesson and then learning any relevant content while also frequently checking for comprehension.

Ways this is done include asking students to explain concepts in their own words or using practice questions. Usually, Lark aims to set a lesson objective that is achievable in one session but she ultimately lets each individual student’s needs/abilities set the pace.
