Ebony

Wellington Tutor

Ebony is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) majoring in Accounting. She attends Victoria University of Wellington and hopes to pursue a career in commercial law. Ebony has a passion for literature and loves the creative nature of all humanities subjects. She believes that arts subjects cultivate important skills used in all areas of life.

Ebony is confident in tutoring English, History and Classics to NCEA level 3. Ebony believes the most important part of teaching is engaging the student in the learning process. She thinks it is imperative that students understand that they have responsibility and ownership over their own learning. Ebony’s teaching style emphasises the importance of nailing core skills so that the student can feel confident enough to eventually attack tests and assignments on their own. Ebony is dedicated to ensuring that her students receive the best marks they possibly can. She wants her students to feel welcome and relaxed in tutoring sessions so that they feel comfortable enough to ask questions and fully engage.
