Charlotte

Wellington Tutor

Charlotte is currently in her fourth year at Victoria University of Wellington, finishing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biotechnology and Ecology/Biodiversity. She is interested in biotechnology because it involves using scientific knowledge to creatively solve real-world problems. She is especially passionate about sustainability and hopes to work in plant genetics with a focus on sustainable agriculture in the future.

Charlotte is available to tutor Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths. She finds tutoring really rewarding and loves supporting students to become more confident in their learning. Charlotte values the holistic model where each student’s tutoring experience is tailored to suit them and their goals, and builds on skills beyond the curriculum. She aims to provide a positive, relaxed environment that fosters enthusiasm about learning in students.

Charlotte’s tutoring lessons are focused on delivering information in a variety of ways including discussion, diagrams and practise questions. One-on-one tutoring also gives her the ability to go through content at the student’s own pace and work on concepts from the ground up in order to build a stronger understanding. Along with subject content, she likes working on transferable skills that can help students throughout high school, university and beyond, such as study techniques, stress-management and mindset.
