Tori

Tori is a recent Bachelor of Law (LLB) graduate of the University of Waikato. She has returned to the University of Waikato to complete a Te Reo Māori Diploma in Te Tohu Paetahi. Her plan is to complete her Graduate Diploma and to pursue a legal career, specialising in Māori Land Law. Tori can confidently tutor English, History and Drama.

She is very outgoing, and prides herself on her empathetic nature. In her spare time, Tori loves to get outdoors, be active, and spend time with her friends and family. One of Tori’s personal goals in tutoring is to help her students feel more confident in their own knowledge and abilities. She appreciates that each student has their own unique style when it comes to learning therefore she likes to create an open and friendly space for her students to learn in, to foster their prior knowledge in and to have the confidence to be directional thinkers with their studies.

Tori recognises the importance of dedication, so she works hard to incorporate goal-setting, self-reflection and self-preparation into her lessons. Tori sets her own personal and educational goals that she reviews regularly, to ensure that she remains organised and can perform well in all aspects of her life. She hopes to empower students to be directional thinkers in their own lives and to feel confident in their own studies.
