Kelly

Auckland Tutor

Kelly is a first year student studying at the University of Auckland towards a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biomedical Science. She has a keen interest in life sciences and how the world works, and is aiming to pursue a clinical pathway in her next steps at university. With this passion for science and knowledge, she hopes to inspire others to see the same worth in these subjects and spark that curiosity to learn more.

Through one-on-one tutoring, Kelly seeks to build a more personal connection that is crucial for catering to a student’s individual learning style and goals. From her own experiences with NCEA, she understands the struggles of feeling overwhelmed and not knowing where to start. For this reason, she believes in breaking down concepts into simple terms, and likes to help visualise concepts with easy to understand diagrams and mind maps to help understand the bigger picture.

In her own time, Kelly enjoys painting, reading and watching films. She has an easygoing and approachable personality and aims to make lessons comfortable and engaging while still providing a challenge for students. She believes that good tutoring will not only equip students for exams, but provide valuable skills for education to eventually become independent learners. Kelly is able to tutor Biology, Chemistry, Media Studies, English and Level 1 Maths.
