Monica is currently studying towards her Bachelor of Science majoring in Cell and Molecular Bioscience at Victoria University of Wellington. She enjoys the theoretical and practical opportunities that it offers.
Monica is passionate about nurturing student enjoyment and believes that learning should be a positive experience. She teaches through example and helps students appreciate applications beyond the classroom. Using a combination of visual aids and discussions, she encourages deeper understanding. She understands that each student is unique, so tailors her tutoring to accommodate each student needs.
Monica emphasises strong foundation skills before building up to more complex topics. She enjoys helping students develop confidence and problem solving strategies, so they feel that they can tackle harder problems. Having undergone NCEA herself, she understands the difficulties students face. She looks forward to helping students overcome these challenges. Monica can teach NCEA Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
