Ben

Ben is a third year Software Engineering student at the University of Waikato. He wishes to become a software engineer or computer scientist in the field of quantum computing, applying his passion for learning to a ground-breaking new field. Ben grew up spending a lot of time outdoors, and greatly enjoys mountain biking, tramping, swimming and sky-diving.

He is able to tutor Maths with Calculus, Science, Chemistry, Physics and Computers. Ben loves sharing his passion for learning with others, and helping them to get the most out of their time at school. For him, 1-on-1 tutoring is the perfect platform to do this, as it provides a distraction free environment with 100% attention from the tutor, a level of interaction usually unavailable at schools.

Ben incorporates examples into his tutoring to deepen the understanding of a subject. He believes that if a student understands why a particular fact is true, they will be more likely to remember that in tests and exams. He strives to give students an understanding of how the most basic facts of a subject underpin the most complex concepts.
