She finds the brain and the way the body works extremely interesting, with background explanations through chemistry in particular.
Chemistry is her main passion, making the connections between the physics and biology that is constant in our world around us. Zoe enjoys tutoring one-on-one to build not only the students knowledge of how to learn, but a friendly and professional relationship. She finds individual tutoring more personal and therefore specific to the way the student learns, tailoring each lesson in particular ways to maximize this. Zoe loves to see students succeed and finds tutoring very rewarding on both ends.
Zoe likes to begin with the using the students base knowledge to build on, with written, visual and physical aids. These methods involve the student, making connections in the brain as well as keeping interest and a positive mindset. She ensures that the student understands each concept step by step and will welcome mistakes as an opportunity to learn more. Zoe’s goal in tutoring is to make sure the student reaches their goal.
